TODAY’S VERSE
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.” II Thessalonians 2:16-17 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
God knows exactly what we need to make it in this life. He offers to us two indispensable tools for getting us through any of life’s situations. He gives us comfort and strength. Comfort calms us. Comfort gives us hope and encourages our faith. Comfort gives us the ability to trust God for the strength to keep going. Strength to help us overcome obstacles. Strength needed for everyday life. God comforts with His hope and then He gives us the strength to press on. Today may God comfort your heart and mind and give you all the strength you need.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I pray that You will give me all the comfort and strength I need for this day. In Jesus’ name.

God gives me comfort and strength
Picture yourself in great need of comfort and strength. You are discouraged, worn out and just about defeated. Suddenly you remember that God promised to give you strength and comfort. Visualize yourself crying out to Him. Picture Him hearing you. Sense His love coming to your aid. Feel Him comforting you with His Holy Spirit and strengthening you with His power. You sense yourself becoming renewed. You rise up and affirm, “God gives me comfort and strength!”
