Today : Endurance And Hope
TODAY’S VERSE
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” Romans 15:4 (NIV)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Sometimes we just have to wait. “Wait on the Lord” the scriptures say. But we do not have to wait without hope. We have the written word of God which teaches us about endurance and is used by God to encourage us and give us hope. As we spend time with God and meditate on His scriptures we will find that the Holy Spirit will guide us, direct us and give us the peace and the patience we need, just when we need it the most.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me study and meditate on Your word. Help it take root deep in my heart so I will have the endurance and hope I need to livea life that is pleasing to you. In Jesus’ name.

See yourself meditating on God’s Holy word. Sense Him speaking to your heart and giving you wisdom and understanding. See yourself in a difficult situation and all of a sudden His word comes to your mind. Feel the peace that comes to your heart as you reflect what you have remembered and see yourself being filled with endurance and hope. Take a deep breath and let endurance and hope fill your mind with peace.
