TODAY’S VERSE
“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is one thing to think of how we should devote our lives to God. It is another to think of how God devotes His life to us! Zephaniah was telling a broken and disheartened people not to despair. Not to worry for God cares for you. He told them that God was in their midst and that He was mighty to save them. More than that, Zephaniah painted a word picture that should have filled them with joy. He told them that God Himself rejoiced over each and every one of them. That God personally would quiet their hearts with His love and that when it is all said and done, if they would listen, that they could hear Almighty God singing and praising over each of them. What a picture. What a reality. Today, know that God loves you, He rejoices over you with gladness and He is singing praises all about the love He has for you.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, how my heart rejoices in knowing that You care so much for me. How can I even begin to fathom it? Help me see it, help me know it. Today, dear Lord, open my eyes that I can truly see the love You have for me. Thank You, Lord!
